I want to invite you to something vital for our parish and our Church: joining a small group this fall.
Many of you have shared how you feel the Spirit working in this community and your desire to connect with Christ more deeply—to be fully alive in Him.
Our Bishop has asked us to cultivate connections in Christ. We encounter Jesus in four primary ways: the Eucharist, when the Bible is shared, when the Church ministers, and when the people of God gather and share life together. While we focus on the Eucharist this year, we realize that gathering and sharing life together is essential to our ability to realize our vision that Saint Pius is our spiritual home with a community equipped to live our mission. When we encounter Jesus by gathering and sharing life together outside of this sacred space, we come to this sacred space more open to the power of Christ’s presence through the Eucharist, the Biblical proclamation and the ministry of the Church.
I would like you to form or join a small life-sharing group here at Saint Pius next month so that you can encounter Jesus in a new way.
